Our Mission

Fajr Time NYC was created to solve a fundamental need for the over 800,000 Muslims residing in and visiting New York City: an intuitive, fast, accurate, and completely transparent platform dedicated to Islamic prayer schedules.

Calculation Methodology & Data Integrity

Our prayer time calculations are powered by solar position algorithms aligned with the standards established by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA):

• Fajr Angle: 15.0 degrees below the eastern horizon
• Isha Angle: 15.0 degrees below the western horizon
• Coordinates Anchor: 40.7128° N, 74.0060° W (New York City Center)
• Asr Method: Standard Shafi'i / Hanbali / Maliki with option for Hanafi adjustment
